Georgia Life Alliance Committee Endorses David Perdue for US Senate
Says Nunn’s ‘Emily’s List’ endorsement indicates support for partial-birth abortion
October 21, 2014

ATLANTA – The Georgia Life Alliance Committee, an affiliate of Georgia Life Alliance and the National Right to Life Committee, today announced its official endorsement of David Perdue for the U.S. Senate.

“There has never been a more critical time to elect women and men who value the sanctity of human life and will commit to protecting the right to life,” said Emily Matson, Executive Director of the Georgia Life Alliance. “As Georgians, we are confident there is a pro-life candidate whose position is clear – and that is David Perdue.”

Perdue’s opponent, Michelle Nunn, has not only attempted to soft-sell her pro-abortion position, but has refused to tell voters where she stands on important pro-life issues. However, major donations, including a million-dollar ad purchase in the Atlanta market by Emily’s List PAC, reveal Michelle Nunn’s pro-abortion and anti-family stance.

“Emily’s List has referred to Michelle Nunn as their ‘perfect candidate’. Based upon the track record of Emily’s List endorsements, this means Michelle Nunn likely supports legal protection for late term abortions, partial birth abortions, and abortions performed on unborn fetuses at a stage during which the baby is capable of feeling the pain and torment being inflicted,” Matson said.

“Michelle Nunn’s pro-abortion position is anti-life, anti-family, and does not align with Georgians’ values. On the other hand, David Perdue has publicly committed to defend the lives of the unborn and that is what Georgia believes. GLA Committee hopes that Georgia’s compassionate voters will show that they believe in the sanctity of life by casting their vote for the pro-life candidate on November 4th.”

Early voting began in Georgia last week, with the General Election Day taking place on November 4th.
