GLA Congratulates Pro-Life Candidates Winning July Runoff Elections

ATLANTA – Many Pro-Life candidates across Georgia emerged victorious in the July 26th primary runoff elections. These candidates will now be their party’s nominee in the November 8th general elections. GLA specifically notes that two races were won by candidates which took time to submit candidate questionnaires to Georgia Life Alliance Committee.In State House District 3 (Ringgold, GA), small businessman and former NASA engineer, DeWayne Hill advanced to the general elections with 57.91% of the vote. As Hill does not have Democrat opposition in November, he will serve as the new State Representative for Ringgold. DeWayne Hill is a GLA Certified Candidate.
In State House District 80 (Brookhaven, GA), attorney and former Chairwoman of the Georgia Young Republicans, Meagan Hanson advanced to the general elections with a margin of 29 votes. Hanson, a GLA Certified Candidate will face incumbent, pro-abortion Democrat, State Representative Taylor Bennett in the general elections. “We’re thrilled to see more pro-life candidates victoriously advance through the electoral process”, said Georgia Life Alliance Executive Director Emily Matson. “The movement to protect the rights of the vulnerable unborn is only strengthened when Pro-Life men and women successfully run for public office. We look forward to doing what we can to help these candidates take a stand for the unborn to our State Capitol.”
